Rob, I agree. I have watched that performance countless times and have used it as a personal example, as well as one for Rueda Pa'Gozar. From that wheel I gleaned several vueltas I brought to the group and that we have incorporated into our list: vacilala con coco, tunel, puente among them. Thanks for bringing it back to my attention. I'm going to bring this to the attention of our dancers at Casino Fridays as well.
For me, it's not so much the calls themselves, but subtle things each member of that Rueda does: checking in with each other, the spacing between couples, and the flow and pacing of the calls.
