Last August (about three months after I started teaching on my own), I received a hostile Facebook message on my Fan Page:
"... you are essentially copying and stealing all of our concepts, curriculum and original material... Your actions make it apparent that you intend to market these concepts as yours and not give credit where credit is due. You learned it from me, and you should not try and pass it off as your own."
I admit it's taken me a while, but after reflecting on this, I've decided to address this issue publicly.
As I've stated previously, the point I'm trying to get across is that there's more to Casino than "just" Casino. It was never my intention to blatantly copy anyone else's ideas, marketing strategy, or class curriculum. I've tried to put my own spin on what I think makes a quality Casino dancer... that's all.
SO... if I've offended any Buddhists, Little Dragons, professional athletes, world record holders in track and field, or any villains from The Princess Bride, I apologize for my actions and am truly sorry. I'll try to be more innovative in the future and not just a copycat.
The philosophy behind good social dancing, leading, following, and topics that discuss more than just Salsa Cubana.
